This is a very good mix, I had a husky collie, he had shorter hair than a collie and was loving and extremely intelligent. A lot of people would agree that this mix is very good, he was protective yet very sweet. I am currently searching for another husky collie mix since.

∙ 13y agohuskies are athletic and intelligent dogs. they are affectionate with everyone but do not need to constantly pester you for attention. they are not known to be aggressive.

NO huskies CAN NOT live somewhere hot. They need cool weather and shouldn't EVER be shaved. Trust me, I know.

∙ 13y agoHusky's are wonderful dogs but they need lots of exercise, preferably in the pulling arena (Skijoring, Bikjoring, Carting, Sledding etc). For the purpose you describe you would be better off with a low-energy, low-maintenance dog. A rescue would be more of a known quantity in that respect and for that reason I would hope that you would explore that avenue instead. Perhaps a service dog handler in your area could help you with the selection.

∙ 14y agoNo i don't think so. Huskies are very friendly dogs and don't bark very often. So they would probably not alarm you if there was a stranger around. Hope i helped!

"Police dog" is a job description, "husky" is a breed. Police dogs are chosen to do certain things, which huskies aren't known to be as good at. They're better for that purpose. If you don't have that purpose, a husky might be just as good or even better.
