Any sugar free product is inherently unhealthy to begin with, as you are ingested artificial sweeteners. Splenda is one of these- it starts as sugar, but its by-product is hydrogen peroxide. Do you really want to be eating that?
Also, this is in the "Gluten Free Diet" section. If you eat wheat bread, you are going to get very sick if you should not be eating gluten.
A little bit of honey can go a long way, and is completely natural and easily digested by most people. Natural, high molasses sugars are good as well. If you have celiac, just be careful on your digestion for a while.

It is very important to make sure you feed your children healthy snacks, so great healthy snacks for after school would be; fresh fruits & vegatables. Such as apples, oaranges, strawberries, bannans, carrots w/ fat free ranch dip. Or even a peanut butter & jelly sandwich would be a great healthy snack for after school.
It mostly depends on the hunger level of the person eating it. If you have a high metabolism you might consider it to be a snack. If you have a low one it might be considered a meal.

How to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich (commonly known as PB&J) You will need: * Two slices of bread * Peanut butter * Your favorite type of jelly or jam * A knife # First, you will need to use the knife to spread peanut butter on one slice of bread. Make sure you spread smoothly and evenly on the entire slice. # Second, you will need to do the same with the jelly on the other slice. (I personally prefer using a spoon for the jelly because it's easier.) # Put the two slices together with the peanut butter and jelly on the inside. # Enjoy your simple but satisfying snack! I also like to change it up by makig a double decker PB&J. This is done by using three slices of bread with double the filling. Enjoy! ;)
