I'm no doctor but as construction worker for 35 years I've had more than my share of pain. I'm a great believer in asprin as a wonder drug but lately I've added another wonder drug and that is Aleve. Asprin is an antiinflamatory and a pain releiver both of which are associated with tendonitis. It has always worked for me. Aleve is even better but it has a drawback you must take it for a few days before it kicks in because it builds up in the system

Can aspirin be takenwith robaxacet?

My family doctor said it is Ok to add an anti-inflammatory (like Aspirin) to Robaxacet which only is a muscle relaxant + pain killer (acetaminophen/Tylenol). Actually, Robaxisal which already contains aspirin is preferable for painful back sprain. And works well for me.

Is it ok to give your sheltie a baby aspirin for arthritis?

No - dogs are very sensitive to the side effects of aspirin (and all other human pain medications like Tylenol, Advil, Aleve, Motrin, etc) and you can cause a serious medical reaction or even kill your dog with aspirin. If you think your dog would benefit from some pain medication, you will need to talk to your veterinarian about it - there are safe pain meds for dogs, but it takes a veterinary prescription to get them.

Promethethazine is combined with codeine and sometimes Dextromethorphan that is classified as an antihistamine used to treat allergies, motion sickness, nighttime sedation and pain reliever. it is OK to take with ibuprofen, aspirin or acetominiphine(tylenol). if Advil or aspirin upset your stomach, then OK to take with Tylenol. there are no drug interactions. this drug also treats colds and cough.

What does analgesics have a cure for?

Analgesics are for pain. Different analgesics are used for different types of pain. You may be given morphine if you break your leg or aspirin if you have a headache, for instance.Analgesics do not cure anything. They just relieve pain. This is OK if you and your doctor know why you have pain. Pain is the body's way of letting us know that something is wrong, so it is useful and helpful in diagnosing a problem. Most labels on analgesics say that you should not take them for more than 3 days without consulting your doctor, and that is because people shouldn't normally need to take analgesics for that long. If pain persists it may be a sign that there is a disease or condition you need to have investigated.

Is it OK to give your dog 0.4 ml of aspirin?

Yes, yes it is. How much aspirin a dog can have depends on it's size and weight! If you are doubt about how much aspirin to give your dog, call your vet's office and ask them. Regular strength buffered or baby aspirins should be used, not "safety coated" aspirin. Always give aspirin with food, to help avoid an upset stomach. If the dog starts to vomit, stop giving it aspirin. Aspirin has blood thinning properties, so it can be dangerous in some dogs. For long term pain relief there are safer veterinary-specific alternatives.

Is aspirin ok for fevers?

Usually yes, unless your doctor recommends otherwise.

Does etodolac have aspirin in it?

No, it does not have aspirin, but it is considered an "NSAID" which means it is a close cousin of aspirin. Etodolac is a pain medication in the same family as ibuprofen (Advil). NSAIDS can have blood thinning properties, although not as much as aspirin. Therefore, you should not be taking large amounts of aspirin while using etodolac. For those people taking low dose aspirin for heart health as well as an NSAID like etodolac, it is OK to take your daily aspirin. Just make sure that you take it prior to any other NSAID (wait 30-45 minutes before taking the NSAID). This ensures that you will retain the cardioprotective properties of aspirin.
