Is communism good or bad

Communism in it's root form, is a great idea, I a communist, made my fair share of research before calling myself one, people call communism a Dictatorship, in it's Marxist roots, municipal "soviets" or council (it's where the Soviet Union got it's name) are elected by the people and find ideas to improve the society, reroute if needed resources; a direct democracy, where the people have a direct word in the governmental process, if the idea receives more than 50% of popular vote, the change is made, if not, the change is not made. The idea behind communism is to put the economy in the hands of the government (which theoretically can't make changes without the direct** approval of the population) to control the prices, to reduce prices, provide healthcare with corporate revenue, but also destroy the gap between the "bourgeoisie" as Marx called it, today's "Rich class" and the worker's class, but the nature of man to always try to advance himself without regards to others, is the main driving point for anti-communists, which claim to be dictatorial, but truly isn't, only human nature makes it dictatorial, which is why it doesn't work in large areas, but have only been successful in municipalities, (see Twin Oaks community and the 1871 Paris Commune) to conclude, communism is a good ideology, but is undermined by the human nature's want to "further him/herself"
