Yes it is ok, but, I think that you will be wasting your $$$$, as you will still have to change the oil as per the same time as regular oil.

depending on the mileage, a full synthetic or a synthetic blend is my recomendation. A conventional oil (standard) is good for 3000 miles. synthetic blend oil is good for about 4000 miles and a full synthetic is good for 5000 miles. If your tc is over 75000 miles then either a full sythetic or a high mileage oil is recomended. I began using AMSOIL synthetic oil in my 1997 Chevy Venture at 50,000 miles, right after the manifold gasket went bad and leaked coolant into the engine.
