Synthetic lubricants are recommended for all vehicles. I began using AMSOIL synthetic oil in my 1997 Chevy Venture at 50,000 miles, right after the manifold gasket went bad and leaked coolant into the engine. I have changed the AMSOIL once a year and now have 115,000 miles and it runs better than ever. I also have the AMSOIL synthetic ATF in the transmission and it also runs better than ever.
