It will not hurt it. I like to use higher octane also, just depends on the price and my budget.
1980 was the first new version of the Goldwing Interstate. It came with the 1100 engine. That lasted till 1983, then the "84's came out with the 1200, good till 1987, then the 1500's. The 1980 Interstate all dressed cost me just $ 5,000.00 here in Canada, those were the day's.
Look for the ID tag on the frame head. They all start with GL then the engin size (1000, 1100, 1200, 1500 or 1800) then there may be a letter, I for Interstate, A for Aspencade and S for SE (Special Edition).
yes it is the same cab all parts will bolt right on
one down, and 4 up. They are all the same.
Answering "Can you remove one carburetor from a 1983 gl11oo goldwing without removing all four?"no screws hold carb to airbox access from inside air box
Most likely a dead battery.
The regulator is actually a regulator and rectifier in 1 unit. The one you will need will depend on the bike. If you own a limited edition model of the goldwing then you need a specific type. But for all other bikes as an interstate or aspencade they are all the same one used for all. Hope this helps.

No. The premium is the price you pay for the coverage. Depending on your insurance company, the premium may be paid all at once or in payments.
