It shouldn't hurt at all, engine compartments are meant to get wet, but take care around the electrical fuse box.
Local car dealerships and auto detail companies may provide under car hood cleaning. For general top of the car hood cleaning, visit a local car wash.
Mobliser? I assume you are wanting to say that you opened your hood and washed the engine? If this is correct then you probably got water into electical connections and shorted something out. This would be especially valid if you used a car wash or power washer with water under high pressure. If that's the case then you could have damaged just about anything under the hood. Generally speaking, high pressure water under the hood is usually a bad idea.
Saturns are not equipped with a "oil" reservior. The only reserviors located under the hood should be as follows. Lower left corner is your wash fluid Just above that is your antifreeze/coolant. Upper left corner on the engine is Power steering fluid. Upper right corner on the firewall is your Brake fluid Upper right corner to the right of your brake fluid is the Clutch, if equipped with a manual transmission.
Yes it's fine to wash the air filter, but just make sure its dry before you put it back into the engine
Because there is antifreeze int he system and it takes a while to burn through. Also replace the bottom hose too. <> If it smokes from under the hood, It has antifreeze on the engine exterior, You can wash it off. Or just drive it and it will burn off. If it smokes from the exhaust, There is engine damage.
Under the hood on the passenger side. The tank has a black cover with a windshield spray icon on it.
Yes, you can wash your car engine with water.
Yes, it's done often, but you have to make sure that you don't flood too much water on certain areas, such as the intake and the distributor or other areas that might be sensitive to water. A little engine degreaser can be used before spraying the engine, helping remove more grease and oil.
Wash it off?
Open rear door--look on right side panel-open and refill The rear window wash fluid comes from the same container as the front windshield washers and is located under the hood on drivers side.
I just came on here trying to find that out also. Everything else comes off so easily for cleaning. I can not figure out how to remove the hood to wash it.
