I actually believe that the asker/OP(original poster) may have meant the pepper,that you sprinkle on food. not a Capsicum.

And actually the pepper you sprinkle on food has been proven that its healthy. Piperine is an alkaloid found in black pepper,Some of the benefits of it-means weightloss,another helpful thing about piperine is its ability to promote bio-availability of nutrients like beta-carotene, vitamin B6, amino acids, selenium, glucose, and curcumin. and Some other helpful things that can help your health.

Yes, black pepper can be unhealthy but in small amounts, it is not as poisonous for some as it appears to be for others. Some people will experience terrible symptoms for peppering their food over a few days. Others may not realize on-going symptoms they experience from having it as a normal part of every meal.

Black pepper is definitely NOT a health GIVINGproduct, yet it can surely add a lot of flavor. So does salt, and sugar, but a lot of salty-sugar (MSG) is certainly not healthy for you, either. The body does need some salt and sugar, but it absolutely has no place for the mildly toxic elements of Black Pepper.
