yes. the last year of any Pontiac v8 was the 301 in 81. the standard engine in the 82 and up firebirds was the corporate engine-the Chevy 305
Anything can be done with enough work. However after 1981, f bodies had chevy engines rather than the Pontiac. The Chevy trans will not bolt to the Pontiac block willingly.
Pontiac uses same block no small or big, Chevy describes their engines small or big
There is no Big block or small block in Pontiacs. They were the same size. "67 did have the 400 and 400 HO available for the Firebird.
Yes, They are the same. GM uses the same parts for Pontiac and Chevy, although the carb may be different therefore the carb from the Pontiac will not always work with a Chevy.
Yes it will, It should already have a small block Chevy in it , if it's a V8.
There is no "small block" , "big block" with Pontiac engines. The physical size is the same from 326ci to the 455.
No. The Pontiac headers will not bolt up to the Chevy small block.
no
Not even close...
This question needs to be clarified. What block and heads do you want to install? Chevy, Pontiac, Olds....which one?
Anything will fit any car, anytime. That is hot rodding.
If you are asking if a small block chevy V8 flywheel (most common engine in a 1967 Camaro) will work on a Pontiac V8 (most common engine in a lemans), the answer is no.
