It is by all means better, and easier to change the clutch & pressure plate by pulling the transmission. Just remember to "block up your engine" before pulling the transmission.
it is easier just to pule the motor that to pule the transmission when you get it out the clutch is right there
Its plates that disingage the transmission from the motor so you can shift it
yes. wet clutch.
The clutch slave cylinder is probably at fault. Replacement is necessary to fix problem. Transmission must be removed to gain access to the slave cylinder.
No. Clutch is what disengages the motor from the transmission. Shift would be changing gears. You should depress the clutch to shift from one gear to another.
Transmission, yes Motor no, but it would be easier if it was out.
Adjustments is behind top of the clutch pedal. Clutch spring should be under the car on the transmission closest to the motor block, next to the slave cylinder.
First you will have to take the motor out and separate the Transmission from the motor, then you have to take the clutch off of the flywheel and put the new one on with an alignment tool, then you put it all back together.
Attached - hands down.....heavier, but easier
it does'nt..dodge made the cars with a cable clutch or is the transmission low on fluid? use 5w30 motor oil ........ only use transmission fluid if its automatic
Bell housing. Contains the clutch & flywheel on a manual transmission vehicle. On an automatic it contains the torque converter.
Absolutely not. The clutch should be between the motor and the transmission, you should never have to open up the transmission to change the clutch unless you have one of those dual-clutch semi-auto paddle shifter cars, and then I wouldn't even try fixing that unless I had fairly extensive transmission experience, which, if you're asking this, I'm guessing you don't. Changing a clutch can be fairly easy on some cars, and fairly hard on others, the hardest part is lining up the clutch plate while bolting on the pressure plate; it must be perfectly aligned or it will be impossible to reinstall the motor.
