YES it is. GM had a problem with the fuel pumps making noise and still does.
When it starts leaking are making noise.
Blower motor is going bad. They are usually behind glove box area.
If it is like a whirring whine that is probably a normal 4X4 noise. Any other noise I'd be looking into as a problem.
Transfer case pump grinding a hole through the casing, U-Joints, bearings.
bad wheel bearing may cause it

You are probably hearing the fuel pump, this is normal.
that is a option,more road noise,speed,the more the radio volume goes up and viseaversa.
Could be your exhaust system specically your converter.
Pads probably need replaced or damage due to same. Wear indicators are designed to make noise when they are low to warn you they need attention.
That sound may be your power steering pump low or out of fluid
A bad pinion bearing in the differential is to blame
