I don't mean to change this guys answer in anyway he has a good answer. but i think if the car has been sold in automatic and manual configuration I don't think it would be too hard. just get a transmission from a junked 5 speed vehicle same type. but yeah you are going to have to change out the pedals and put the parts in he stated below. I'm not sure about cutting the whole floor pan if they automatics have shifters in the center "some vehicles have the automatic shifter built into the steering wheel and with that configuration u may have to cut the floor pan" but it would be a hard task and usually isn't recommended unless u have the time and the money.
