A 1996 Chevy Blazer Does have a transfer case IF it is equipped with 4 wheel drive
i have a 1989 chevy blazer gos in 4x4 drive but front wheels are not pulling wat do i do about that
It is located on the transfer case. It'll be on the drivers side of the transfer cas, right next to the front drive shaft, in about the middle of the vehicle! Good luck , it is a hard to get out!
TCCM Transfer case control module
What's the question?
The transfer case could have been jammed, such as by shifting int 4WD while wheels were slipping. If a pin bends, it can stick the transfer case in 4WD permanently.
That is a must, It has to have fluid in it are it will burn up.
Could be the vacuum actuator, or it could be an electronic fault, if you have an electronically controlled transfer case or an all wheel drive vehicle.
In most cases, you will find the speed shift sensor for your 1998 Chevy Blazer located on the backside of your transfer case. The transfer case is located on the transmission.
Remove all wires attached to the transfer case. Remove the driveshafts. Drain the fluid out of the transfer case. Place a transmission jack under the transfer case. Unbolt the transfer case from the transmission. Unbolt the crossmember the transfer case rests on.
it located right in back of the tranmission.
Replace the seals.
