Not recommended because diesel oils have different Additives.
sure if you want to void your warranty if there is one
It'll probably be OK. As long as there's enough diesel to properly lubricate the injection pump then no problems.
It's ok to use and a little cheaper. It just doesn't burn as clean. This is ok as well as you are in a ventilated location.
Driving an Automatic in any gear other than overdrive will result in a decrease in gas mileage. Due to the fact that operating in low to achieve the same speeds would mean the engine is having to produce more power for more RPMs, resulting in more fuel consumption.
Yes, modern diesels run fine on short trips.
If you did not start the engine no harm has been done. Drain the fuel tank, and all the fuel lines. Get as much of the gas out as possible. Fill it up with diesel and you should be ok.
Depends on how old the vehicle is and what additives are healthy for your engine - Such as ZDDP etc...
Check the engine oil level. Normally you shouldn't be having this kind of problem with such a low mileage vehicle. If the engine oil level is ok, better have a mechanic check it out.
your coolant level could be low
most likely not. v-10 keep this in mind. city driving is the worst on this engine. 2 more cylinders sucking fuel all the time. highway driving should be ok though depending on how long. this engine was fords cheep way of giveing the person that wanted engine power for pulling or pto without the price of the diesel.
Batteries are basically the same for petrol or deisel engines, but diesel engines require more cranking force and demand a bigger battery. So a battery from a diesel engine is ok for petrol, providing it fits.
