Yes, gay marriages are legal and recognized in New Hampshire, as of January 1, 2010. New Hampshire previously had gay civil unions as of January 1, 2008, but they will all automatically become marriages as of 2011.

Legislation:HB436 was signed by governor John Lynch on June 3, after much back and forth between the house, the senate and the governor. This granted no additional rights above their civil unions at the time.
