Why wouldn't they - the SA80 A2 is a good weapon, it has outstanding accuracy and good durability. The SA80 A1 didn't have good durability as it has many stoppages in rough conditions. In my opinion it is a good weapon, certainly better than the US's M16.

The SKS packs a bigger round (7.62mm) than the m16 (5.56mm) but the m16 has a higher magazine capacity, better accuracy,and a higher rate of fire, so the SKS is more powerful, but the m16 is generally regarded as a better weapon.
