Skylab WAS an artificial satellite, as the name might imply. It was de-orbited and fell to Earth on July 11, 1979, scattering debris over the Indian ocean and parts of Western Australia.
artificial satellite
A natural satellite is something that is in orbit of another thing that was placed their by natural means; in other words accidentally. An artificial satellite is something that is in orbit of another thing that was placed their intentionally.
An artificial satellite is a man-made object injected into orbit around another object (The Space Station is an artificial satellite of the Earth). A natural satellite is a "natural" object that orbits around another object (The Moon is a natural satellite of the Earth).
The difference is the same as in other contexts.* "Artificial" means that something was created by humans. * "Natural" means that it was NOT created by humans.
An artificial satellite or a moon (a natural satellite)
The only NATURAL satellite of the Earth is the Moon. There are more than a thousand artificial satellites of the Earth.
over a thousand artificial satellites. the first artificial satellite was sputnik. the only natural satellite earth has is the moon
No. IT's man-made, artificial.
Earth has one natural satellite and more than a thousand artificial satellites.
A moon is a natural satellite, as opposed to an artificial satellite, which is a man-made object in orbit.
That'd be a Space Station. Skylab, the International Space station(ISS) and MIR, are examples of Space Stations.
A satellite is a body orbiting another like a planet or moon. A natural satelite is not man-made. The moon and other bodies were called this before the artificial, or man-made satellites were ever made like the ISS.
