the Chevy S-10 has a timeng belt in the back of it by the destribiture but no it wont hurt it at all just put a new one on
Will anything happen to the motor if timing belt breaks on a 2001 ford ranger
If the timing belt breaks, the valves get bent immediately.
No, it is interference. Valves can bend if the timing belt breaks. No, it is interference. Valves can bend if the timing belt breaks.
The valves can be bent when the timing belt breaks.
Not according to the Gates and the Dayco websites - they manufacture timing belts and they both say the 2.3 L 4 cylinder used in the 1993 Ford Ranger is NOT an " interference motor " Of course , if the belt breaks than everything has to be put back "in time " which is more work.
yes
No Not on the quest version of this motor.
Yep. If your timing belt breaks, or jumps a few teeth, you will likely end up with bent valves. You may also find ruined valve guides, valve seats, pistons...
Everything is different in that motor.
No it still turns motor over
timing chain. the timing chain is ment to last as long as the motor does . does not require replacement unless it breaks and if it does i hope its not a interfearence motor
There is no timing ajustment, Its controled by ECM- Computer.
