it is in the same place..upper hose coming from radiator..all leganzas are the same in engine..since 1999..by the way ..this is a good car..and parts can get easily ..the engine can use part of Isuzu.hunday.even Toyota...i am living in El Salvador and is easy cake find parts,,you only need a good mechanic..
ON a 1999 Daewoo Leganza the thermostat is located on the upper radiatior hose. Unlike most cars this car has a thermostat that is integrated into the housing. You must purchase the housing with the thermostat built in. It is removed by removing the 2 female torx screws that hold the unit in place. The thermostat is expensive. Some dealers or auto parts want an avg of 125 for that thermostat so please make sure that is the problem before you purchase it. You can sometimes get lucky and find someone posting the unit on e bay. Best luck I have had for any parts for a daewoo is a location in Puerto Rico. The thermostat is commonly located on the front of the engine. It can be located where either the upper or lower radiator hoses connect to the engine.
It is located where the bottom hose of the radiator connects to the engine. There are two bolts that hold it in place the thermostat is right inside that housing.
The thermostat on a 96 Nissan Altima is located on top of the engine at the upper radiator hose. It is contained under the thermostat housing which holds it in place.

The thermostat is located on the front of the intake manifold. Follow the upper rad hose to the manifold. It drops behind the alternator. Not a fun place to work but you can remove the thermostat housing and hose connected together.

The thermostat is located on the top of the manifold (2.4L) on the passenger side of the car. Just follow the top radiator hose to where it is bolted to the the manifold remove the 2 bolts holding it in place and lift the housing off the thermostat.
follow the lower radiator hose to were it attaches to the engine. Right below the alternator the thermostat is located in the housing that the hose is attached to. It is held in place by 2 10mm nuts
The thermostat is located underneath the front of the van on the driverside tire side of the vehicle. follow the radiator hose up to the thermostat housing. Note: the rubber o ring must be left in place if you are not planning to replace the thermostat, which, by the way costs like $35.00 and has to be ordered in advance.
The point at which the upper radiator hose connects to the engine is where the thermostat is normally located. You should see a dome shaped thermostat housing, held in place by 2 bolts. bottom radiator hose at water pump housing
It is located in the front of the engine towards the top. If you follow the radiator hose it will lead you to the thermostat. There are two bolts that hold it in place. You can remove the bolts fairly easily and replace the thermostat. It is important that you make sure that everything is clean when you reassemble everything.
