The thermostat is commonly located on the front of the engine. It can be located where either the upper or lower radiator hoses connect to the engine.
ON a 1999 Daewoo Leganza the thermostat is located on the upper radiatior hose. Unlike most cars this car has a thermostat that is integrated into the housing. You must purchase the housing with the thermostat built in. It is removed by removing the 2 female torx screws that hold the unit in place. The thermostat is expensive. Some dealers or auto parts want an avg of 125 for that thermostat so please make sure that is the problem before you purchase it. You can sometimes get lucky and find someone posting the unit on e bay. Best luck I have had for any parts for a daewoo is a location in Puerto Rico. The site for this is http://daewooautopartspr.com/ Call them. I got a thermostat for $60 among many other parts. O'Reilly Auto has them for 36.99. They are online.
It is located where the bottom hose of the radiator connects to the engine. There are two bolts that hold it in place the thermostat is right inside that housing.
The thermostat on a 96 Nissan Altima is located on top of the engine at the upper radiator hose. It is contained under the thermostat housing which holds it in place.
located in the lower radiator hose where it meets the engine block. There is a bracket with 2 screws in it covering the thermostat to hold it in place. Remove the screws and remove the thermostat
The thermostat is located on the front of the intake manifold. Follow the upper rad hose to the manifold. It drops behind the alternator. Not a fun place to work but you can remove the thermostat housing and hose connected together.
The thermostat is located on the top of the manifold (2.4L) on the passenger side of the car. Just follow the top radiator hose to where it is bolted to the the manifold remove the 2 bolts holding it in place and lift the housing off the thermostat.
follow the lower radiator hose to were it attaches to the engine. Right below the alternator the thermostat is located in the housing that the hose is attached to. It is held in place by 2 10mm nuts
The thermostat is located underneath the front of the van on the driverside tire side of the vehicle. follow the radiator hose up to the thermostat housing. Note: the rubber o ring must be left in place if you are not planning to replace the thermostat, which, by the way costs like $35.00 and has to be ordered in advance.

It is located in the front of the engine towards the top. If you follow the radiator hose it will lead you to the thermostat. There are two bolts that hold it in place. You can remove the bolts fairly easily and replace the thermostat. It is important that you make sure that everything is clean when you reassemble everything.
when you lift up the car the thermostat is located on the right front bottom of the block you'll see a radiator hose by the compressor ,the thermostat goes inside a small housing and it is a little difficult to put back in because the gasket has to place properly
The point at which the upper radiator hose connects to the engine is where the thermostat is normally located. You should see a dome shaped thermostat housing, held in place by 2 bolts. bottom radiator hose at water pump housing
It is located on the top front of the engine. The top radiator hose is connected to a metal thermostat cover on the engine block. It's held in place with 2 half inch bolts. Hope this helps.

if you have a 3.3l v6, then you follow the upper radiator hose to where it connects to the block. It's around the throttle. The place where the hose connects can be removed, and the thermostat is in there.
== == It's located within the thermostat housing, to the right side of the engine... follow the large rubber tube coming from the radiator and it shall lead you to the housing, which is held in place by two bolts. Warning: if you take the housing off, to replace the thermostat, be gentle with the thermoswitch, and it is also very fiddly to have the thermostat centralised on the housing when you bolt it back on.
The thermostat is located in the housing just above the water pump. Follow the top hose on the radiator. There is a metal tubing in the middle of that top hose that leads to the thermostat housing. The housing has 3 screws that attaches it to the engine. When replacing the thermostat use Indian Head gasket seal to hold the new thermostat in place so it does not shift and fits snugly in the housing. Good Luck
According to Haynes Repair Manual #61042 for the years 1993 thur 2001 fot the Mazda 626 & MX-6 Ford Probe the engine thermostat is located on the driver's side of the engine compartment under the air breather. It is necessary to disconnect the ram-air hose & remove the air-filter compartment to reach the thermostat. The thermostat is held in place by two bolts & an "O" ring gasket. I had to replace mine & is took a "little while" to remove everything to get to the thermostat, replace the thermostat & then replace everything back in place as it was before.
BELIVE IT OR NOT ---- some are located on the lower radiator hose mount.(the place where the lower hose connects 2 the engine)
* Where is the best location a thermostat in the home should be? * ---- * Don't place the thermostat on an exterior wall. * Don't place the thermostat near an intake duct.* Don't place the thermostat near the heat register * Do place the thermostat on an interior wall a bought half way point about * 4.5 ' to 5', on the wall away from any breezes or heat admitting devices.
For thermostat replacement step by step instructions with pics- http://www.pfyc.com/supportfiles/tstat/tstat.htm The pics as shown are for a GP model, but the GTP shares the same block so the thermostat is in the same place. Your model year may require a gasket instead of an optional "o" ring. Buy one before you start and when you pull it apart, see if it has a gasket. -If so replace it, if not return the unused part. Hope this helps. "G"
The thermostat is located under the alternator on the engine block. Just follow the lower radiator hose to the engine block and is held in place by plastic housing with two 10mm nuts.
