the diamond lines up about 12:00 and the triangle about 5:00 in line with the triangle mark on the inner cover
Line crank shaft pulley timing mark on tc mark on timing belt cover. Look at cam shaft timing belt sprocket and locate the small triangle (not diamond shape) located on the plate attached to the timing sprocket. Referencing the timing sprocket look approximately at 5:00 o'clock under the timing sprocket and locate the other small triangle. Line these 2 marks up. Put timing belt on. Make sure the cam shaft sprocket and crank shaft sprocket do not turn while installing the belt. The crank shaft pulley must be removed in order to get the timing belt on.
if it is DIS it does not matter.
3 dots 1 on the crankshaft sprocket & arrow on the block 1 on each camshaft sprocket & like a triangle to the right on block to the right sprocket & to the left on block to the left sprocket
timing marks are , marks on camshaft sprocket, an on crankshaft sprocket'.
Under the timing belt sprocket, on the front of the crankshaft.Under the timing belt sprocket, on the front of the crankshaft.
line the timing mark from the crankshaft sprocket up with the camshaft sprocket and tada!
Both, cranshaft to camshaft sprocket, belt, camshaft sprocket to cams, chain.
A person can sync the timing belt on a 1990 Rocky SUV by aligning the timing marks. These can be found on both the camshaft sprocket and the crankshaft sprocket of the engine.
A cam sprocket is a part which is attached to one end of a cam shaft in an engine. A cam sprocket, along with the timing belt maintain the timing between the camshaft and crankshaft, which ensures that the engine runs properly.
Yes it does have a timing belt. The timing belt is at the top front of the engine under the diagonal cover. The timing belt runs from the cam sprocket to the injector pump sprocket.
The timing marks on a Nissan 2.4 engine are located on the camshaft sprocket and the crankshaft sprocket. The timing belt connects both together which must align perfectly.
Fig. 11 Valve Timing MarksRemove engine front cover as outlined previously.Remove crankshaft oil slinger.Crank engine until timing marks on sprockets are in alignment, Fig. 11.Remove three camshaft to sprocket bolts.Remove camshaft sprocket and timing chain together. Sprocket is a light press fit on camshaft for approximately 1/8 inch. If sprocket does not come off easily, a light blow with a plastic hammer on the lower edge of the sprocket should dislodge it.If crankshaft sprocket is to be replaced, remove it with a suitable gear puller. Install new sprocket, aligning key and keyway.Install chain on camshaft sprocket. Hold sprocket vertical with chain hanging below and shift around to align the timing marks on sprockets.Align dowel in camshaft with dowel hole in sprocket and install sprocket on camshaft. Do not attempt to drive sprocket on camshaft as welch plug at rear of engine can be dislodged.Draw sprocket onto camshaft, using the three mounting bolts. Tighten to specifications.Lubricate timing chain with engine oil and install cover.
