The right to bear arms is the primary law that prevents the government from oppressing its people. in the US Constitution that is the second amendment of the Bill of Rights. a larger percentage of canadians are gun owners than in America, so Canada has the ability to save itself from a destructive government. the way a government gets around this rule is gun control. beware of any government that wants to have 100% gun control, because as history as shown us, those are the governments that are about to crush its own people, genocide. it happened in Germany, turkey, the Philippines, Iraq, Iran, Vietnam, and Korea.

It is possible for a Canadian to become a dual citizen if neither parent was born in the United States, but it depends on when they were born and where their parents were born. Canadians, since 1947, can hold multiple citizenships. It is a complex question. You are best advised to contact a United States embassy or consulate near you for more information. They will likely send you questionnaire to help you determine your status. In general though, it is not possible for a foreign government to force you to renounce your citizenship, even as a condition of citizenship in that country. So as long as you meet the requirements to become a citizen of the United States, it doesn't matter if you are also a Canadian citizen.

"
I'm assuming that you mean "where" and not "what" when you ask this, so here's the answer: "That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness." To paraphrase, this is stating that when a govenment no longer protects the rights of "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness", then the governed have the right to abolish that government for the good of the people.
