no, Kia Sportage are famous for two relays going bad,the fuel pump relay and main engine relay. They work together and one actually keeps the other one energized. I recomend replace in pairs. Only 16 to 18 bucks each at dealer.
The fuel pump does not normally have to be "reset". If the vehicle is in a crash that causes the inertia switch to trip, the switch will have to be reset before the fuel pump will run.
