Some Jeep Liberty's do have a ball joint recall. If you call your local dealer with the VIN they will run it through their computer to see if you have any open recalls.
It's a recall so it's free if you go to the dealership!
Aftermarket replacement parts will come with grease fittings such as tie rod ends, ball joints, etc.
Well I recently found out. I have a 2002 jeep liberty and they will make a grinding noises when you turn the steering wheel. The noise is worse when you turn at slow speeds or while in park. The noise will get worse over time. As the driver you'll know something is seriously starting to go wrong because the sound is loud.
Contact your local Chevy dealer with your vin number on hand and they'll be able to tell you of any recall(s) present for your vehicle.
Lots of reasons why your jeep could be shaking, Ball Joints, u-joints, your hub centrix is off, bent tie rod, wheel off balance, bad steering stabilizer, bad sterring dampener. Lots of stuff hope you fix it :) my buddies just started shaking bad u-joint and ball joint.
