(where the key normally rests while driving) 3) KEEP HOLDING the trip button for 10 seconds or so, until the maintenance required light goes off. 4) Once the light goes off, release the trip button and turn off ignition. The Maintenance Required Light is not the same as the Check Engine Light. The Maintenance Required Light is telling you that there is scheduled maintenance that needs to be performed. It may mean it needs an oil/filter change. To find out what needs to be done look at the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual.
Listed in your owner's manual. Next to the maintenance required light, you should see a small slot with a button in it. Stick your ignition key into the slot and hold it in for about 10 seconds. When you start your car, the light should be green, indicating that it has been reset. The maintenance light will turn orange automatically the next time that the mileage reaches one of Honda's recommended maintenance intervals.
