yea the same one that it had u can probably get it at Pontiac dealer ship or at the junk yard

Well there isn't necessarily a radio with that feature but you can buy an adapter for it. The one I ended up getting was the PAC SWI-X Steering Wheel Controls Interface. It worked out perfectly for me. But be sure to read about it first and make sure that it is compatible with your new stereo.
You might want to check out the Crutchfield website (www.crutchfield.com), particularly this page that I found by searching the site for steering wheel controls; http://www.crutchfield.com/S-87x9PMzbwPt/cgi-bin/prodsearch.asp?sp=lnav&cm_re_o=TkB_zkEzM*kwufEzM*lwzygt&search=steering+wheel+controls&go.x=0&go.y=0 This shows some add-on electronics which will allow you to use your steering wheel controls on an after market stereo. FriPilot
not sure if they had CD players or not but you can go to any car stereo shop and they have a module to hookup the steering controls to any stereo that you put in
The steering wheel controls are probably bad The only fuse is the radio fuse and if the radio works the fuse is OK Also if you do not have the original stereo, and your new stereo does not have a place to plug in those controls they will not work.
We have put an aftermarket car stereo in a car with the controls on the steering wheel. You have to check to see if an aftermarket wiring harness is available for that year and model.
It doesn't control anything. It is the connection for the cruise switches, horn switch, radio controls(if equipped) and airbag that allow the steering wheel to turn and there to still be a connection.
The vehicle has to be equipped with the controls in the first place or the body contol module can't read them.
Light blue is for steering wheel controls or a wire remote control.
probably extra controls for the stereo volume and station selection.
yes any after market stereo will fit as long as you got the adapter antenna and the stereo adapter and a stereo connector wiring adapter
there will be roughly 4 screws on the dash, 2 by the guage window and 2 by the radio/ heat controls. after removing pop out the dash. you will have to lower the steering collum, after the dash is off you have 4 screws holding the stereo in place.
