There is only one fuel filter just in front of the tank towards the engine in plain site.
there is no fuel filter, after 2000 majority of cars do not use fuel filter mainly import cars, the only "fuel fillter" now is in the gas tank connected to the pump, but those are lifetime filters, (more of a strainer than a filter) if your wanting to keep you fuel system clean, just use a fuel injector cleaner or fuel system cleaner
Yes. There are two filters. one is in the fuel tank, and the other is located between the fuel tank and the fuel injectors. hope this helps.
Could use more info but, a plugged fuel filter could do that.
A clogged fuel filter can actually cause a fuel pump to fail. This is a much more expensive repair than a filter.
No just 1 fuel filter, and sorry to be the one to tell you, but in 2004 Chevy started putting the fuel filter inside of the FUEL TANK.
You'll have to drop the fuel tank and on the top you'll see where the pump is. Pull the pump and the filter is on it. If there is another filter somewhere else besides the one on top of the fuel tank (some vehicles do have more than one) then just trace the fuel line back and the other one will be about 3 foot down the line on the frame. Above answer is wrong!! The fuel filter for a 2000 - 2007 Monte Carlo is just in front of the rear driver side tire and the fuel pump can be accessed through a panel in the trunk just behind the rear seats
Diesel contains more impurities compared to gasolene. Therefore fuel filter is more critical in a diesel engine
Yes, it has a fuel filter, air filter, oil filter, and possibly a cabin filter.
Could be fuel related. Bad fuel or clogged filter/Injectors. That would be my guess until I knew more information. i.e. Does it do it all the time or just once.
The fuel filter sits on top of the fuel tank next to the fuel pump. There is one screw holding it to the tank. Three tubes coming out of it. More then likely it will all be a bit hard to remove the tubes and screw because the fuel filter has been sitting there a while. Disconect battery"you don't want sparks flying" Jack car up as high as you can. Shyphen fuel out. There are 5 bolts holding straps in place. Lower tank down a bit. Tank is not heavy but it would be more easy if you had help. Be careful when disconnecting filter because lil plastic bits break.
The fuel filter is in the fuel tank on this type of car. It is not a normal replacement part any more on Dodge and Chrylser vehicles. My experience with these vehicles are that the fuel pump has a larger filter on the inlet of the pump. This allows the pump to pull in clean fuel and last longer. Eventually the filter will plug and the pump and filter will have to be replaced.
