what;s the likely problem expected on a 4runner engine of 310000 km milleage?
thats a little on the worn engine side of compression, but that in itself would not keep it from starting....most likely a fuel or spark problem. you can check fuel pressure with a screw in guage from autozone, and check spark with an inline spark tester from autozone.
Most likely a problem in the emission control system Have vehicle scanned to determine the problem
Most likely the problem is with the Pressure Sensor in the engine block.
If the check engine line is flashing then that means there is a real problem and you should have it looked at, But if the light is on and NOT flashing the it is most likely a problem with the emmisions system and most likely an oxygen sensor.
Its available at T-mobile most likely and Verizon wireless.
The engine light will only be on because there is a problem, take it to your nearest Audi Speacialist Cars where they can plug it into a machine and check what the problem is. it could be a case of just a failed sensor somewhere in the engine but more than likely will be a problem, not something you want to ignore!
If the check engine/service engine light is on, the problem most likely isn't in the ECM. Get it fixed, and it should go off.
If it is running fine at high revs the most likely problem is an injector
Most likely a broken balance shaft belt
The 3.4L engine has a common problem which makes the van overheat. The one of two major problems are both cooling related and that is why they fail to do that job and the engine begins to overheat. One likely problem is that the Intake Manifold Gasket is torn. This is the lesser of the two problems. The second likely problem is that the Head Gasket is torn. This is the bigger problem. Many times, it is easier for the mechanic to just swap your engine with a different one from the scrapyard.
To turn off the check engine light on a 1999 Toyota Camry you can disconnect the battery. This will only reset the check engine light. So if there is a persistant problem with the engine, the light is likely going to stay on. To turn off the check engine light on a 1999 Toyota Camry you can disconnect the battery.
