What type of noise? Clunking, squeaking, rubbing. A little more information would help.
To replace shocks on a Honda CR-V make sure the car is safely risen and supported. Remove the wheels and suspension components. Loosen the fork bolts and strut support bolts. Remove the assembly. Then use a coil compressor to remove the spring from the shock. Replace the shocks.
It does not have shocks on the front it has struts which should only be replace by a professional. The rear shocks are easily replaced. Just unbolt them and install the new ones.
If the shock is leaking it must be replaced. Replace both shocks in pairs.
Manuals often cite that the shocks shouldn't exceed about 57 pounds. However, if the shocks have been replaced, the new shocks may have different specs, so if possible, check what specific shocks you have.
