It has the 4L80E transmission in it. And the only one that you can put in it is a 1996 4L80E, no other year will bolt up.

NO. The transmission wiring harness on the 1500 will NOT hook up to the 4L80E transmission and the COMPUTER / ECM will not operate the 4L80E. The 1500 MUST have the 4L60E put in it.

NO. The wiring harness and computer system is not compatible. Will not interchange. The 1/2 tons used the 4L60E and the 3/4 tons and up used the 4L80E in them.
