"Middle East" doesn't have a concrete definition... while the ones listed above are the countries traditionally considered to compose the Middle East, some definitions of Middle East extend it all the way across Asia into northern Africa and include all the Islamic countries of that region (e.g., Georgia, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Armenia, Sudan, Algeria, etc.)
