check the fuel tank. maybe someone pulled the "ol' floating bean trick" on you. (something may be floating in the fuel then pulled to block outlet after fuel starts to flow)

I found the following two posts on car forums when I looked for an answer to the same question (95 mustang blows only through defroster). I haven't tested this yet, but the two answers did come from different boards. It is a vacuum supply problem. Look closely where the vacuum tree is on the plenum. Ford uses a rubber fitting with plastic line, the plastic line usually cracks at the rubber fitting. for the a/c prob. check the vacuum line going through the firewall by the passenger side engine compartment. if that line breaks (and it does) you wil only have defrost vents working.

hi my names Mark i had prob with motor revving up to +- 2500rpm & 3000rpm tried all forums and everything it told me to do i did. then one day i was just checking to see if there were any vacuum leaks i leaned over the motor while it was idling "at a high revv" and supported my weight holdind on to the water reserve bottle, it actually slipped back against the body ito its propper possition and lifted the hoses that where hanging on the loom plugged into the ecu....prob solved...make sure your hoses arent resting on ecu plugged wiring

NO IT CANT CAUSE A VAC. LEAK. BUT IF ITS A MEC.FUEL PUMP I HAD THE SAME PROB WITH MY 305. I CANGED THE PUMP AND SOLVED THE PROB.
