Your thermostat is stuck in the open position. Replace the thermostat and no more problems. Quick fix and only costs about 20 dollars.
can you please clarify what you mean, do you mean that the front heater blows cold but the rear blows hot or do you mean that when the heating is on cold it blows hot? many thanks paul
Get the air out of your heater core.
heater hoses might have been disconected
Interior heat uses the engine heat. If the engine is still cold, the heater will blow cold. If the engine is warm and the heater is blowing cold, you have a problem with the heater. Check the water in the radiator and see if it is rusty. If it is rusty, change your coolant, thermostat, and hoses. Look at the heater hoses when someone steps down on the gas pedal. If a hose collapses, replace your heater hoses. Otherwise take it to a mechanic.

The heater blend door is vacuum actuated. You have a vacuum leak somewhere.
The most common reason a automobile heater blows cold air is the water level is low. Check the water level and fill to the appropriate level.
the heater blows warm air when fan is on low but blows cold air when fan is turn to higher setting
you must have low coolant or a bad heater core
we changed radaitor & thermastate , now heater blows cold air
It is because your heater is having to heat up so its blowing cold air out while its heating up.This means your heater is not very efficient and it needs to be checked.
A car heater taps off engine heat. If you aren't driving, then the engine is cold and there's no heat for the car heater to use.
