Well, it all depends on how you define a "water leak". First of all, is it coolant, or actual water? Second of all, is the vehicle four wheel drive or two? Third, if the truck has a 6 cyl, or 4 cyl. Now, if you have a two wheel drive with a 4 cyl, they have been known to blow head gaskets. If the truck is a 6 cyl, with 4x4 or 4x2, you may have leaking oil cooler lines. The previous alligations only count if you are leaking coolant. Now, regardless of the combination of drivetrains, if you are leaking water then it could either be the condensation from the air conditioning system (Normal), or you have a leak in your washer fluid reservior. Or, you may have a small leak in your exhaust system which can cause water due to condensation to leak out. Ultimately, have the Head Gasket, Cooling system, Washer Reservior and Exhaust System checked. Good Luck!
coolant leaking into the engine
Coolant leaking from the pump shaft.Engine overheating.Noise coming from pump.Coolant leaking from the pump shaft.Engine overheating.Noise coming from pump.
Heater return pipe or hose, leaking intake manafold gasket.
If it's leaking from INSIDE the firewall (away from the engine compartment) you probably have a leaking heater control valve or damaged heater core.
Pressure test system to observe leak
It's difficult to say, without seeing where under the hood it's coming from. You could have a bad exhaust manifold gasket, leaking exhaust. You could have valve cover gaskets leaking or seeping oil, which would drain onto the hot exhaust manifold, and burn off... If you can provide more information on where the smoke is coming from, there may be a better answer.
Perhaps leaking valve cover gasket? Perhaps leaking oil sending unit?
if it leaks on left side of engine at hose, could be a bad water pump! on 3.1 engine. if pump is bad it will leak out of releif hole on bottom of pump!
could be hearer core lines answer antifreeze leak on driver side usually means either head gasket od a freeze plug leaking heater hoses generally go up passenger side
is coolant leaking from engine?or is it leaking from water pump and running down engine and appears to leak from engine
radiator cap might be leaking
you need to find where the leak is coming from, but be very careful, if the gas is leaking onto or near any hot engine components such as the exhaust manifold, it could easily start a fire
