With the edelbrock, use the vac line on the carb itself, It will be a small bore, 1/4 ( about ) vacuum line, and should be on the front of the carb.
There should be two small and one large vacuum connection points on the front of the carb, hook it to one of the small ones, that will be for your vacuum advance. the big one is for crankcase ventilation. one of the smaller ports is manifold vacuum, the other is timed vacuum. they are not the same, but you will use one of these, usually the "timed" port.
yes
Edelbrock's website can provide an instruction manual for fine tuning. There is also a tuning kit with spare parts available.
go to google or yahoo and do a search for "vacuum line routing edelbrock"..... it should give you alot of pages. choose the one from edelbrock.
on an edelbrock 350 ? you mean Chevy 350 with edelbrock parts on it ? try the valve cover. open it up by unscrewing it or it may be just a pop of cap and puth the oil right in the valve cover just like every other 350 .
No, the small blocks have the distributor in the rear.
The torker 2 is a single-plane design, so it won't work as well as a 2-plane such as a Performer or Performer RPM.
Actually the complete distributor will fit from the small block to the big block.
To remove the distributor on an EA Falcon, first remove the distributor cap. Use an extension bar to reach and remove the small lug that holds the distributor.
The distributor can be turned both ways. The rotor however, which I suspect you are asking about, turns clockwise on a small block V8.
With the mods you describe I would suggest you start at about 10 to 12 degrees btdc. you may have to play with it to get it just the way you like it. Hope this helps. Mike
There are two excellent pdf's for this carb at summitracing.com.
