Honda radios have a security feature which prevents their use if they are stolen. This security feature is activated if the radio is disconnected from the battery (I.E. battery in car replaced). There should be a security code in your owners manual. Enter the correct code, and the radio will work. If you don't have the original owners manual, (or you can't find the information), you will have to go to a Honda dealer. They will have to verify ownership of the car/radio and can then look up the code.
One might look to a Chilton manual or the car manual to learn how to remove a Honda jazz radio. The best way to have a radio removed from any car is to take it to a car audio technician and get the radio removed and or replaced.
To reset the radio in your Honda you will need the security code for the radio. This usually is included in the car's manual or you can also go to Honda's website and input your car's VIN number to retrieve the code. Once you have the code the car manual will walk you through the steps of resetting the radio.
In your owners manual, there should be a radio code & how to enter it.
The 2005 comes with a five digit (all numbers) code. After the battery is replaced, turn on the radio. The radio should show "Code." Simply punch in the five numbers on the turning buttons and the radio will immediately start working.
By inserting a 5 digit code into the radio by means of the station preset buttons. If you do not have the code then go to the Honda Owners Link and register your Honda. There you can get the code for free.
There should be a 4 number code in your service manual
check your owmers manual for your radio there is a code you need to enter. You can find this at the back of the book. This usually happens when the battery is dead or replaced.

I have replaced the battery in my 2001 Galant V-6 twice now, and I never had to remove the radio to find the serial number, to re-program the radio. You should have received an "ID" card with your manual/paperwork, that included a code for re-programming your radio, once the power source has been cut. Instructions for this are in the manual. It's easy, if you have the code. The card itself is red, with white lettering.
Its possible that maybe your radio has been replaced? So the radio code that you have, might not be the correct one for the radio. I would suggest pulling the radio out and getting the serial number off the radio, then just call a Mercedes dealer and they can get the correct radio code for you from the serial number.
If the manual is missing getting the code for a 2008 Honda Cr-v radio require making a trip to the dealership. The techs at an authorized Honda dealership will program the radio.
