Most likely the oil pressure bypass valve is stuck or not installed properly.
no gasket is used
There is a gasket. It may be an O'ring or it may be a flat gasket. You will know when you purchase a new filter.
no. gasket and thread are different.
Take the filter off and look where it mounts onto the motor to make sure there is not an old gasket stuck to it and if there is take it off and then put on a new oil filter hand tight, be sure to put oil around the gasket on the new filter before you install it.
No you do not, you would put oil on a oil filter gasket if it is a spin on type, this stops the rubber from binding and helps it seal.
Drain oil. remove oil filter and replace with new. remove oil pan. Remove old gasket make sure the area at which the gasket seats are cleaned well and install new gasket with oil pan and fill the motor up with the appropriate type and amount of motor oil.
Unscrew the old one, clean the mounting surface, oil the gasket on the new filter, screw the new filter on and tighten 3/4 turn after it makes contact with the mounting surface. The 3.5L motor in the 05' Avalon has a canister type oil filter located on the passenger, front side of the motor.
Yes, there is a gasket in there. Felpro P/N 70415 for models w/o an oil coller, Felpro P/N 70801 for models with an oil cooler. Now if you can just get the filter out of the way you're golden!
Remove the old filter. Clean the mounting surface, making sure the old gasket was also removed. Apply a light coating of oil to the new filter's gasket. Install the new filter and tighten 3/4 turn, (no more, no less) after it makes contact with the mounting surface.AnswerBClear. Do you have a 2.4 motor? OIf so the filter is a cartridge style that is found on the top of the motor, Closer to the driver side. You will see a black cap with a large ( 1 1/16th "?) nut on it. reove it and you will find the cartride filter in there.Pukenstein@AOL.com
That's not what is leaking, & you'd have to pull motor to do it. These leak from the oil filter arm or the rear main seal.
There seems to be a problem with your 2002 Chevy 1500 truck. I think you may need to check out the left water tank as the acidity may be PH9. Hope this helps
Is there a air filter for a force out board motor
