Check all fuses. The gauge sending unit/pump have known issues. Cracking, leaks and failure. It sits on the top of the tank so it is a PITA to get to. I find that it would be strange to not get any codes? Instrument cluster failures are more uncommon these days but have been known to happen. The individual gauge unit may have had a failure. The tiny drive units can be replaced in these gauges if you do some research and can find a supplier. You have to be somewhat mechanicaly inclined and dealers will not do it. It is possible to find a replacement cluste if this is the issue and you want to do a swap out but it will have to be recalibrated.
220.
who should i see about a recall on 2005 chevy trailblazer for faulty fuel gauge and not working speed gauge who can i call about this for a recall was bought used
sounds like you have a bad ground wire on frame by the fuel tank. small black wire coming from the fuel tank and screwed to the frame.
there is a sensor inside the gas tank. if you have the GM dealer replace it.. its about $500.00.
220 is not excessive
The floater inside your pump is sticking. You will have to replace your fuel pump in order to fix this problem.
The fuel pump may be fine but the sending unit may not be. The sending unit is probably the most common cause of fuel gauge failure.
fuel sending unit broken wire or gauge is bad
bad sending unit
seriously? it tells you what temperature you engine coolant/antifreeze is. that is how your gauge on the dash knows what your temperature is at.
Have a mechanic test the fuel sensor circuit. Likely the sensor has gone bad and will require replacement.
The sending units on these vehicle has been a continual problem. Mostly if your vehicle has a history of being in a corrosive environment. Corrosion eats away at the unit as it sits on the top of the tank. It is attached to the the fuel pump and is a big job to replace unless you have access to a lift.
