You can just change fluid, filter and gasket
No, Fluid, filter, and gasket
it is internal and u must break the case to change it, best have the fluid changed by a pro, flushed out by the dealer is best
I don't think you can change it. I have a 1999 catera and my transmission fluid has to be changed at the dealer.
it needs the transmission flushed but beware only use Honda brand trans fluid from the DEALER its expensive but it must be used the dipstick is sometimes sealed on prior leased vehicles but on all other it is a small yellow or orange wire or plastic piece on top of trans LOOK !!!!!!!!AnswerThe filter is plugged. Change trans filter and have it flushed with new fluid.
Newer Impalas are to have there transmission flushed and not fluid drained and filter changed. The filter is now a screen and is cleaned by flush. See your dealer or TRUSTED shop for service.
In fact I would advise against it on a high mileage transmission.
Take to your local Nissan dealer
Use only Honda brand ATF-Z1 transmission fluid. There is no substitute, no matter what anyone tells you. Use another fluid and you will experience shifting problems. I would find a Honda dealer with a Wynns trans flush machine and have the trans flushed. This is the only way to remove all the fluid. Change the fluid every 50,000 miles.
i was told by the dealer on a 1993 civic there is no filter just change the fluid.

You should use only Honda genuine transmission fluid. You can get a gallon of it at your local Honda dealer and change it yourself.
