there are two bolts in the oil pan...one in front and one towards the rear. you drain the oil out, then remove the oil filter. put a new filter on and put the bolts back into the pan (dont strip them out), then add five quarts of oil by dumping it into the valve cover
The 1956 Cadillac equipped with power steering was quite easy, loosen the bolts on the pump and remove the belt, un bolt the reservoir/pump Assembly and turn it upside down so the oil drains out. Disconnect the lines and reverse process to re instal. If you would like to know on a different year you will need to provide year, engine, and model Cadillac.
how would you remove the rear speakers to a cadillac sedan deville 1990.
To change the transmission fluid in you Renault Clio you will have to remove the transmission pan from underneath the transmission. The easiest way would be to loosen your back bolts first about half way out and then loosen up the rest about a quarter of the way.
Theres no real answer to that question. First of all I would remove the glove box and the stereo unit. Then search for the other bolts by eye. Its a very difficult job to do... If you can't do it, you should seek perfessional help. It can be done alone, but it is very time consuming.
The fiberglass panel at the side of the battery has to be removed and the battery is removed sideways. I wouldn't remove the panel entirely,I would remove the top bolts on the side panel and remove the ones on the fender weld. At the bottom of the side panel where the gap is,I would just loosen it so the panel can fall outwards, this will allow you to work the battery outwards, may have to tip it to get out and tip it again to get it back in.
Remove the allen-head bolts holding the speedo cover on, underneath that you'll find the larger bolts that give access to the handlebar clamps. MAKE SURE THAT YOU HOLD ON TO THE HANDLEBAR WHEN YOU LOOSEN THE CLAMPS! Otherwise the bars will fall and you will dent your tank. I would recommend putting a folded towel on the tank to protect it, just in case.
First, take off the fan shroud then the fan clutch then the water pump. Reverse to reinstall. Wrong, Most 91 and 92 firebirds run electric fans, Where would the clutch fan be then? First remove the negative lead on the battery terminal Make sure the engine has cooled remove the radiator cap and drain it remove the air intake tube loosen the four bolts which hold the pulley to the pump remove the serpentine belt remove the the bolts and the pulley from the pump remove the upper and lower hoses remove the 3 bolts which hold the pump to the engine block clean the mating surface of the engine block install replacement pump with gasket in reverse order
First you cannot replace the bearing, it is sealed and you MUST replace the the entire hub. I would recommend replacing both hubs at once. Also before you loosen the spindle lock nut make sure you have new ones to replace. The Lock nut MUST be replaced! 1. Disconnect the battery cable from the fuse box under the hood. 13mm 2. Loosen the wheel nuts. Jack the vehicle up and support it with a jack stand. 3. Remove the wheel nuts and the tire. 4. Remove the caliper from the disc. (2bolts) 5. Remove the disc. 6. Loosen the spindle lock nut. 7. The hub has three bolts that can be removed from the engine side of the hub. Three bolts. 8. Remove the spindle lock nut and dispose. You must use a new nut. Assembly is reverse.
Start by removing the battery and the radiator overflow resavore. this way you can get to the waterpump. Now you need to remove the serpentine belt by loosening it at the top of front of motor using a 1/2 inch socket wrench. Next i would remove the pulley to the waterpump. There are bolts under it that need to be removed. Then start removing all the bolts, nuts and the two hex heads that hold the WP on. There are 17 of em. Now you should be able to remove WP.
You will have to pull out the motor and separate the transmission and the engine. There should be 3 or 4 bolts on it that you will have to remove to pull it off. I would use a open ended box wrench on the bolts.
Depending if its a new one your trying to install, it may have been on for awhile i would GENTALLY tap it with a rubber hammer to loosen it up.
Raise and support the front of the truck. Place a drain pan underneath and remove the transmission pan bolts from front and sides and loosen rear bolts. Carefully pry front of pan down to allow partial drain. Remove pan and filter, clean gasket mounting surfaces. Replace gasket, filter and pan, tightening bolts to eight foot pounds. Refill transmission fluid to fill marks on dipstick.
