its most likey the crank sensor its on the top driver side of the trany close to the bell hose. you can get to it from under the Jeep
The back of the ignition key cylinder is probably broken.
This is probably the starter going bad. You should have it looked at as soon as possible or replace the starter yourself.
there are several problems that could cause this on a jeep one is the ignition switch, the starter, the gear changer on the transmission.
Battery, starter, fuel pump, ignition, computer,................
Replace ignition module (under the distributor cap)
The two possible causes are a highly flammable compound in the paint, or ignition of the hydrogen.
This is possible, yes.You could also check the ignition coil, this will cause the same symptons.
The distributor cap of an ignition system is one possible cause of many for misfires. Other possible sources to investigate are the distributors cap and gears. The flow chart of diagnosing misfires also include the coil, capacitor (if applicable), ignition wires and the spark plugs.
1995 & 1996 checy trycks used a two piece ignition switch. I had this same problem and replace a bunch of stuff to find out the ignition switch was intermitting shutting the truck down so check before you spend money on parts you don't need
bad ignition switch, bad battery, bad alternator/regulator,
Yes. The Crank sensor monitors the position and rotational speed of the engine to determine timing for ignition. if it is not functioning you will get no spark.
Replace the fuel filter and have the ignition module checked.
