The River Thames is in England which is on the European Continent.

There are also other River Thames'.

There was a River Thames in New Zealand until it's name was changed to the River Waihou. This is on the Australian Continent.

There is a River Thames in Canada which runs through Ontario. Also there is a River Thames in America which runs through Connecticut. This one is pronounced differently from the others. Tames as in James. The H is not pronounced. Both of these Rivers are on the North American Continent.
