The coalition being formed in Ottawa is a direct slap in the face to Canadians who very recently made clear who they want to lead the country. I, personally, vehemently oppose this act and have written the Governor General of Canada, contacted my Member of Parliment, signed petitions and plan to attend the rally on Saturday. This is an entirely undemocratic act and Canadians, regardless of political views, have the responsibiility to speak out. Not that I am a Conservative supporter, but Harper has not even had the opportunity to unveil his budget and yet the NDP and Liberals have joined forces (despite what they said about that during the election) to overthrow the current government. Since between them they do not have enough power they have heaven only knows what backroom deals with the Bloc to http://www.canadians4democracy.ca/ http://www.rallyforcanada.ca/ http://www.thepolitic.com/archives/2008/12/02/appealing-to-the-governor-general-to-stop-the-coalition/

United Front Government
A coalition government - is formed by members of all parties. This is totally different to a government formed by just the members of the majority party. Coalition governments are better for the electorate, as they cover all viewpoints - whereas a 'single-party' government can often be one-sided.
