Finding and diagnosing Power Steering leaks on the Toyota RAV4 series of light trucks can be accomplished through under hood and car inspection. First, check the reservoir and return hose for any signs of leaks or spillage. Second, trace both return and high pressure lines from the pump to the rack looking for fluid signs. Lastly, an under car inspection with the vehicle lifted may best allow for inspecting the rack assembly for leaks around the seals. Some RAV4s may be fitted with power steering coolers and these lines and its radiator assembly are another area needing inspection for possible leakages.
