President Nixon's solution to getting the United States out of the war was his policy called 'Vietnamization.' Under this policy, the United States would begin training and supplying the South Vietnamese army and building up their forces, so the United States could pull out and leave the South strong enough to fight the North on its own. This eventually led to the complete pull out of American troops in 1973.

Vietnamization was the policy of leaving Vietnam, but leaving slow enough to where the South Vietnamese Army would have time to adjust.

In hindsight, Vietnamization got the U.S out of Vietnam, but also caused Vietnam to fall to the Communists.

Film school is one of the most fundamental parts of a film maker's career plan. Not a single production company will take a person seriously if that individual has not exhibited true effort and dedication, both of which are apparent in a film school graduate. Follow these tips to getting accepted into the film school of your choice.

Learn how to communicate well. Your application speaks volumes about who you are -- make sure it says the right things.

Your creativity and vision can certainly get you ahead in film school, but you won't have a chance to show off these qualities unless you can get a foot in the door in the first place. Film schools tend to accept students whose communication skills are better than average. Be sure that your grammar and language are excellent and that your thoughts are conveyed clearly to a broad audience. Admission representatives consider your writing ability to be of extreme importance, especially since it will undoubtedly play a key role in your career.

Ensure that your application and portfolio display the fact that you are a well-rounded individual.

While your creativity and ability produce compelling screenplays will take you far, it is important to show film schools that you are more than just a good imagination. Grades do matter, and your transcript from all classes will likely be considered in a final decision. Just because Biology doesn't seem to have anything to do with film making, your marks in those seemingly unrelated classes will be factored in later. Extra-curricular activities, clubs, and other organizations also help in this area.

Put in some time on the opposite side of the video camera. Enroll in some acting courses and expand your horizons to show your flexibility and dedication to the job.

Though many film schools do not require that you have acting experience under your belt before applying, this kind of experience certainly doesn't hurt your chances of impressing and surprising your admissions officers. Some of the best directors in the world have played the role of actor at least once, which provides them with insight and perspective that serves them well in the film industry.
