The spare tire should easily fir back under the Dodge Caravan. You will need to winch the holder down and put the spare back on and tighten it up. There are some cases of malfunction with the winch. If this happens, take the vehicle to the dealership and they will put the spare tire back on.

I want to emphasize, the manual says tighten until you hear it click 3 times. At first, I thought I could not turn it any further clockwise. But in fact I could, and I could hear a very audible Click, so I turned until I heard two more. The manual says you cannot overtighten the winch, so turn unitl you hear the 3 distinct clicks. I have a 2010 and a 2018 Dodge Caravan, and both work same way.
