It is located on top of the fiberglass AC housing that projects into the engine compartment on, the passenger side, held by 2 screws.
On the passenger side. Right on top of the black plastic housing. You have to take the glove box, dash, etc. to get it out.
The IAC is located on the passenger side of the throttle body toward the rear. It screws into the housing using a 1" wrench.
The thermostat is located in the thermostat housing, front of the engine on the passenger side. The easiest way to locate it is to follow the large hose coming off the bottom of the radiator on the passenger side, toward the engine. This hose connects to the thermostat housing. It is secured with 2 10mm bolts. If you remove the intake tube between the throttle body and air filter box, you have almost unrestricted access to the housing.

Chevrolet discontinued cabin air filters on the Suburban in 2003. (However, the C.A.F. on a 99-02 is located under the dash on the passenger side. There is a black plastic cover that will need to be partially removed. After that, you will see the blower motor housing/ducting. On this you will see a plastic panel about 7" long by 2" wide. Remove the two gold colored screws and "viola" there are the two C.A.F.s.)

If the mirror housing is ok, A glass shop can sell you a replacement mirror with double sided tape to replace the broken one. It even says "objects in mirror are closer than they appear"
