use a 3/8 drive ratchet to loosen the tension and take your belt off. Then unbolt the center bolt of the tension assembly and replace with a new unit.
Remove the serpentine belt. Tensioner is below Alternator. Remove the three mounting bolts on the tensioner baracket assembly. Replace entire unit.
bad tensioner, replace the belt tensioner/pulley. I had the same problem.
How do i replace mass air flow sensor 1992 lexus es 300
There should be a spring loaded tensioner pulley. If the pulley isn't holding the belt sufficiently tight you may need to replace the tensioner.
Loosen the tensioner bolt on your 1997 Kia alternator. Move the alternator to the left. The alternator belt will become loose and can be replaced.
No! Replace at 80,000 miles or 10 years, whichever comes first.
Remove the Right wheel and inner plastic fender which will allow you access to the tensioner side of the motor. There will be a few bolts holding into place on the block. Remove the bolts and remove the entire tensioner assembly. Reverse for replacement.
To replace the alternator on a 1997 Toyota Hiace van, first disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety. Remove the drive belt by loosening the tensioner and then unbolt the alternator from its mount. Disconnect the wiring harness and carefully take out the old alternator, then install the new one by reversing the process. Reattach the drive belt, reconnect the battery terminal, and check that everything is functioning properly.
Note:The drivebelt routing decal on the radiator shroud to help during drivebelt install * To replace the belt rotate the tensioner pulley clockwise to release belt tension * Remove the belt from the auxiliary components and slowly release the tensioner * Route the new belt over the various pulleys again rotating the tensioner to allow the belt to be installed then release the belt tensioner
locate belt tensioner below alternator on pass. side insert 3/8 drive ratchet in center of tensioner pulley rotate to loosen belt remover belt
You will need to remove the front engine cover, on your 1997 Pontiac Bonneville, in order to change the supercharger belt. Loosen the tensioner pulley to remove the belt.
