its black and white or if its relay the color changes
Fluorescent light replacement is easy as replacing light bulbs. Slowly twist the fluorescent until the lead of each end aligned to the path of ejection/insertion. Or just simply stretch both end of fluorescent ballast then remove/insert the fluorescent light.
I do not
If you socket is the same as the one I am trying to replace then you only use 2 wires. 1 black, 1 white (power coming in) and the the night light is attached with the white and the other wire comes from one of the terminals from the socket. The switch is similar to the 3-way switch, 1 for the light in the socket, 1 for the night light..and 1 turns both on. No, mine is different. I have to use four wires. I took mine to the local hardware store where a friend showed me how to rewire it. I then went home and rewired the other one sucessfully. Thanks for the info.
The wire leading to the bulb socket is the positive (+) wire. The vehicle body and frame acts as the negative (-) part of the circuit. The wire colour codefor positive is the green black one
If you have 120 v at the wires connecting to the light fixture the light should come on. Its possible the voltage is not getting to the inside of the socket. Carefully measure the voltage between the metal blip at the bottom of the socket and the metal along the sides. Be careful here. Its tight quarters and easy for the voltmeter leads to touch the wrong things. Before doing that I would try a third light bulb. I've gotten them bad right out of the package. If you have voltage inside the socket, then for some reason the light bulb is not screwing far enough down so the bottom touches that metal blip on the bottom of the socket. If you don't have voltage inside the socket then that's your problem and you'll need a new socket.
Remove brake light interior trim panels. Then you push and twist the socket for the brake light that needs replacing. Then pull out socket. then pull out bulb from socket and place new bulb in the light socket. Once bulb is installed into light socket. Place the socket where you removed it from brake light housing. Push and twist clockwise to lock back in place. Then replace trim panels.

I am trying to replace a light socket on a floor lamp that has a base night light and it has 4 wires one white one black and 2 brown
its automatic if it doesn't turn on the bulb is out or the socket assembly is corroded and needs replacing.
It is very simple to repair a color changing LED light on a strand of Christmas lights. You simply pull the damaged light out of the socket and replace it with a new one.
Twist the socket containing the bulb slightly to left, or it may be to the right, and it will unlock from the taillight assembly and pull the socket out toward you. When replacing the bulb, make sure it is pushed completely down into the socket or you risk the bulb falling out when you reinsert the holder into the taillight. I know from experience!
disconnect the negative battery cable for 30 seconds
Lift the rear hatch you will see 2 torx screws. Remove the screws and slide out the lens. remove corresponding bulb/socket, replace and reinstall.
The positive wire for the 2005 Toyota Tacoma tail light is red with white stripes. The negative wire is white with black stripes.
If you want to you could remove the light socket and put in an outlet then plug your light into the outlet.
The screw socket into which an ordinary light bulb is inserted.
Just unplug the negative terminal of the battery for about 10 minutes and that will reset the computer
