I have never actually seen an Australian 57, however, I do know quite a bit about them. All I can really say here, is that 55, thru 55, were experimental years for GM. I know that in 56, they installed a 57 front end, on a Cadillac they sold in Mexico, and called it a El Moroco. Very limited production. One just sold out of a collection, a convertible, for around a half of a million. And, I know that they made different versions of the "commonly known," for foreign countries. Such as the Canandian versions. I also know that they were into using up "extra" or "leftover" parts back then. Again, I also have knowledge, that to this day, GM makes and releases different versions, or even models, that are not even sold here i the U.S. They do not have to deal with the "feds" and their regulations, so their versions are much faster. Chevy, also has a history of releasing new models, mid year. Hence the 70 1/2 Z/28, or the big move in 2000, half way through. So, did they release those two, halfway through 56, for export, before the new dash was designed? I could see tha. Or, were they usuing up leftover parts for exports? I could see that too. The fact that you have seen two, the same, would indicate to me, that they came that way. Maybe the 57 dash would not work in the right hand drive models, for some reason. A tip off would be if it is kilometers. If it reads mph, then it is obviously a fabrication. Maybe they didn't expect to export a bunch of the 57's, so they didn't make a kilometer speedo. I could see it being that way. I have called all of the experts that I know, and none could agree on their thoughts on it.
Buy a case of beer and invite a couple of friends over...

Typically, no.. a couple years back, Australia did offer to allow prior service members to enlist in the Australian Army, although I don't know if that program is ongoing.

I am not quite sure what you mean, but if you mean fonts, there are already a couple included with mac. If you mean a translator script, in dashboard, there should be a widget already there.
1.check the fuses under the dash 2. check the bulbs. 3. Check the dimmer knob. If it is the bulb it is easy to change. takes a couple of minutes. check the post on how to change the dash lights on a Toyota echo.
